We Are Findawayers

We work together to challenge and inspire each other. We are inventive and smart, thoughtful and generous. And, we believe in what we do.

Every day we operate by a common set of core values that make the right thing the first thing we do…every time

Our Back to School Drive was a success! Over the past two weeks, Findawayers collected school supplies for at-risk children in the Northeast Ohio area.

Some traditions mean more year after year. We are so glad we are able to make the season brighter for children by volunteering through Fostering Hope. Getting gifts wrapped and ready for kids brings out the true spirit of the season.

In one morning with Cuyahoga County Public Libraries, we sorted over 15,000 donated school supplies. The supplies were generously given to the different branches of the library by people in the community and will help hundreds of kids go back to school with everything they need to learn.

We kicked off our holiday season by volunteering with Fostering Hope at their Holiday Gift ‘n Greet events this year. Findawayers showed up for three days of party preparation and celebrations with the kids to show our love this season. A huge thank you to Fostering Hope for having us!

20 high school students from the Boys & Girls Club of America, Cleveland Chapter, came to Findaway to learn more about our company and potential careers paths. We set up eight stations where kids could ask Findawayers questions about their day-to-day and explore opportunities for their futures.

Our Playaway Products Group wrapped up the summer season by refreshing the Community Garden at Fostering Hope. With a little weeding, planting, and pruning, the gardens are ready for the fall season.

We had a unique opportunity to volunteer for the E CITY Program through Youth Opportunities Unlimited! E CITY (Entrepreneurship: Connecting, Inspiring and Teaching Youth) is a curriculum within schools that helps to introduce teens to the process of starting a real business. The students create, design, and develop a business plan for an idea they have on a small (or big) business opportunity. They then compete for the chance to present on the local, state, and national level. Winners at each level receive money for scholarships and seed money to help grow their business. Our team helped students create their presentations and practice their pitches!

We were the first ever business to volunteer as a group for the Cleveland Kids' Book Bank! 7 of us started our day sorting books by genre and audience then boxing them up for delivery to Little Free Libraries.

We wrapped up our holiday season working with Fostering Hope at their annual Holiday Gift 'n Greet party. Findawayers filled stockings, wrapped gifts, set up for the party, and got to be present the day of the big event.

1,738. That's how many books we were able to donate to kids through Fostering Hope in November!

Findawayers working hard to enhance the trails of Cuyahoga Valley National Park!

Dean Skinner, our Chief Creative and Marketing Officer, had one of his paintings selected to be a part of PupArt 2015. His art was auctioned off at the event and all proceeds are used to benefit sick and injured dogs at the Franklin County Dog Shelter.

Our cans have safely arrived at the Greater Cleveland Food Bank! When all was said and done that scale topped off at 1139 pounds of food!

Artists. Students. Gamers. Coaches. Adventurers. Inventors. Parents. Findawayers.

It’s everything we are outside of Findaway that makes us who we are inside of Findaway. Meet some of the Findawayers making it happen every day!

Meet Colleen

When you are on a mission of growth you take failure out of the equation. You may not be where you want to be today, but you are getting there, and that is a powerful way to live.

Meet Christine

I love photography! I started taking photos on a family vacation and I have become the family photographer! I also help take photos at Findaway events!

Meet Scott

I’m proud to work with so many kind-hearted people that would lend you the shirt off of their backs if you were in need.

Meet Colleen

I want to put the great books I love in the hands (and EARS) of readers all over the world.

Meet Christina

“Do what’s right” is the most meaningful core value to me. This doesn’t mean do what’s easiest or most convenient, it means we are all called to have a strong moral compass that dictates all of our decisions.

Meet Shawna

Outside of work I really enjoy making apps. Creating something that people can download on their phones and have fun with is a great feeling.

Meet Ron

Outside of Findaway I spend a lot of time building computers and tinkering with all things audio/video. This has become a daily routine and plays in huge part in helping me decompress/unwind.

Meet Cassie

Baking is something I love! Reading recipes and challenging myself to create something else to call my own inspires me.

Meet Laura

My core value? Treat everyone with respect. Being respected means you're freer to take chances and try to have an impact.

Meet Dottie

I was inspired by a customer service call I handled early in my tenure with Findaway. By the time the call ended, I understood that I had joined a company that was making a difference in people’s lives.

Meet Tanie

I've lived overseas longer than I've lived in America!

Meet Glenn

Because of my education and career, I have been able to travel extensively. It has given me an appreciation for our country and for the things that make people unique.
